The best part about Thanksgiving? Smothering everything in gravy and our bone broth gravy is the best you'll ever have!
Our seasonal bone broth Bouquet Garni is the perfect choice for this Thanksgiving meal staple because it has all the traditional poultry herbs (rosemary, sage, thyme) infused into the bone broth already! This deepens and enriches this silky gravy so that it is both nourishing and show-stopping good.
In this recipe, we're using xanthan gum to thicken the gravy. It's a wonderful ingredient to use in place of a traditional roux (flour and butter) to thicken sauces and soups with. You're saving on carbs and creating a gluten-free sauce that the entire family can enjoy.

Ingredients
-
1 Jar (2 Cups) FOND Bouquet Garni
-
1 Cup Pan Drippings from Roasted Turkey
-
2 Tablespoons Turkey Fat (or butter)
-
½ Teaspoon organic poultry herb blend
-
½ Teaspoon Xanthan Gum
Directions
In a medium saucepan add the turkey fat or butter and the Xanthan gum. Stir until well combined. Add the herbs, the turkey pan drippings, and the bone broth. Let this mixture come up to a boil, reduce to a simmer and cook for 5 -7 minutes.
The mixture will thicken as it cools as well, so be sure to remove it from the heat just before you're happy with the consistency!
