Let's chat about something that we all deal with, but nobody likes to talk about...hair loss.
It's true that at some point in your lifetime, the majority of us deal with hair loss.
Be it due to weight-loss, the postpartum period, stress, anxiety, or even a medical condition, chances are we know someone who has dealt or we ourselves have dealt with hair loss at some point in our lifetime.
So why does hair loss happen?
There are two reasons hair-loss happens; genetic or environmental.
Today we're going to focus on environmental causes of hair loss. Environmental causes could be stress levels, diet, lifestyle, hormones, etc.
Here's the deal, all of our hair needs protein and specific nutrients to grow. In fact the most common reasons for hair-loss are anemia, lacking in b-12 (basically any woman who has had a child or is pregnant), stress, dramatic weight loss and lacking in abundant protein (We're looking at you plant based diets).
Now we know a few reasons for hair loss, but what does this have to do with FOND?
Well bone broth is a great source of protein and a good source of the hair-building amino acids. Supplementing with Iron, Vitamin C, Vitamin B12, Vitamin D3, Copper, Zinc, and Selenium is also great in addition to regular bone broth consumption.
We also recommend adding homeopathy to your line-up of how to tackle all things at home. Here's a good list to get started: https://joettecalabrese.com/blog/homeopathic-remedies/homeopathic-tips-2/
Don't just listen to us, here's what three FOND family members had to say about their experience with broth and hair loss:
"So I am in my mid 50's and the only benefit is the hair on my legs stopped growing, hello no more shaving! Enter FOND Bone Broth. My nails were stronger, my hair was longer, but SO WAS MY LEG HAIR! I am amazed at how nourishing this product is that it can do even that - thought you would like to know." - Julie O
"After drinking FOND for 30 days straight, I had to get my hair cut sooner! It was growing that fast!" - Stacia R.
"FOND has been such a welcome addition to my keto diet. After losing 100 pounds in 10 months, I found myself in a position that most people do: I experienced a lot of hair loss and I needed something to help regulate my digestion. I found FOND at the Pearl in early 2019 and fell in love. After regularly cooking with FOND and drinking it for almost an entire year now, my hair growth has dramatically improved, and my digestion has improved to more than what I ever thought it could be." - Jordan S.
WOW. What incredible testimonies of the power of broth!
One major factor to hair loss that most people can relate to is anxiety.
In this time of uncertainty, it is crucial that we take care of ourselves. If you treat your body right, we believe that it will treat you right too!
If you feel like you need extra help with anxiety during these times we HIGHLY recommend Ali Miller's Anti-Anxiety Cookbook. It is a treasure.
Finally, our very own Founder of FOND, Alysa Seeland, has seen significant hair growth in a very unique way. Here's her story:
"I have noticed in my life significant hair growth while drinking bone broth over the years. Something funny in my own life is that each of my 4 boys have been born with more and more hair the longer I've been drinking bone broth regularly in my own life. Our youngest, Jude, was born with a FULL head of hair! We call him our broth baby."
