Herb Chicken Bone Broth is a Simple, Culinary Delight

Herb Chicken Bone Broth is a Simple, Culinary Delight

Our Herb Chicken bone broth started as a best-selling seasonal Thanksgiving broth at the farmer's market, but quickly became a year-round customer favorite for cooking. In the culinary world, Bouquet Garni is a bundle of herbs used to flavor soups or sauces. We take the flavor one step further by roasting our regenerative, pasture-raised chicken bones to bring a uniquely hearty flavor to this sipping bone broth.

The sage, rosemary, and thyme infused into this delicious fall bone broth combine to pack a powerful flavor and nutrient punch! We're sharing just a few of the benefits below.

Sage

Sage is a powerful anti-inflammatory. In fact, it contains over 160 distinct polyphenols, which are plant-based chemical compounds that act as antioxidants in the body. It is known to improve memory. How? Chlorogenic acid, caffeic acid, rosmarinic acid, ellagic acid and rutin — all found in sage — are linked to impressive health gains, such as a lower risk of cancer and improved brain function and memory!

Rosemary

Besides being delicious, Rosemary has antimicrobial benefits. To be specific, one of its polyphenolic compounds, rosmarinic acid, is so powerful that it is often used as a natural preservative to increase the shelf life of perishable foods! Rosemary may also lead to a healthier brain. Rosemary infusions, like we do in Bouquet Garni, protect brain cells to the extent that studies are being done to treat Alzheimer’s with rosemary.

Thyme

Wow this little herb is MIGHTY! Studies have shown that topical application fights acne better than anti-acne products, which included benzoyl peroxide! But the list goes on; lowering blood pressure, a natural fungicide, aiding the immune system and so much more. Perhaps the reason we’re most fond of thyme is its natural mood-boosting effect! Thyme essential oil is often used for aromatic and therapeutic purposes because of its active substance carvacrol.

“Carvacrol, administered for seven consecutive days (12.5 mg/kg p.o.), was able to increase dopamine and serotonin levels in the prefrontal cortex and hippocampus.”
